Overview

Whether you are a reporter or assignee of a task, you can update a task as well as leave a comment on it.

As either an assignee when you’ve been assigned a task, or as a reporter when the assignee updates the task or leaves a comment: you’ll receive an email notification with a brief description of the task and a "Go to task" button, which after clicking you can further collaborate and update the task.

Pre-conditions

  • Document Level Permission: 'Owner', 'Editor', 'Reviewer'
  • Platform Configuration: The Tasks feature has to enabled

Steps

As assignee:

  1. Click “Go to task” to open the task.*
  2. Perform any of the following:
    1. Update the task fields
    2. Leave comments for the reporter.
      • You can add a link to the comment field. To do it quickly, copy the URL, select the relevant text in your comment, and press CMD + V.
    3. Edit or delete a comment.

As reporter:

  1. Click “Go to task” to open the task.*
  2. Perform any of the following*:
    1. Update the task fields.
    2. Leave comments for the assignee.
      • You can add a link to the comment field. To do it quickly, copy the URL, select the relevant text in your comment, and press CMD + V.
    3. Edit or delete a comment.

Supplementary Information

You will receive in-platform notifications for the following task events:

  • Assignments;
  • Change of status;
  • Comments.

Notes

  • If the task is linked to a Clausematch document it will open in the right sidebar of the linked document; if it’s not linked, it will open in the dashboard.
  • The assignee will receive email notifications for any state updates or comments you make.
  • Once a comment has been created, it cannot be edited nor deleted.
  • Email notifications at the user level cannot be configured.
