Overview

Find more information on how to create a modification in Clausematch.

Pre-conditions

  • System Level Permission (any): 'Manage Modifications', 'Create Documents', 'Document Manager', 'System Administration'.
  • Document Level Permission (or): 'Owner', 'Editor', 'Reviewer'.
  • Original document has been published at least once.

Steps

  1. Open the document (or click on the +New button and create a new document first) to create a modification from.
  2. Click File from the menubar.
  3. Click Create modification.
  4. Update Modification document title.
  5. Update Version.
  6. (Optional): Select Document language (spellcheck will be affected)(English (UK) is set by default).
  7. Click Create.
  8. Set metadata fields.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Set stages.
  11. Click Continue.
  12. Assign to categories.
  13. Click Complete.

Notes

    • If the modification was created from the document, the Document Type is inherited from the document and can't be changed after creation.
    • If a document is related as a modification to another document, the initial Document Type is retained, so it doesn't inherit the value from the other document.
      • The ability to select a Document Type for documents and templates is a feature that must be enabled for the instance, to request this to be enabled please contact Clausematch Support at support@clausematch.com.
        • For any document, template, snippet, and modification that existed before the enabling of this feature, their Document Type will be Policy.
    • Document Type can be changed for any modification through the following method:
      • Submitting a ticket to support at support@clausematch.com with the following information:
        • Modification ID (found in the browser URL when inside the document or in an MI report if it contains the Document ID column).
        • Document Type to change to:
          • Control
          • Obligation
          • Policy
          • Procedure
          • Regulation
          • Other
