Overview

Tags help organise information to make it easier to browse for specific content.

Users can add tags to documents, paragraphs and data connections to have the ability to search and filter content by tags.

The administrators need to create tag groups first before any individual tags can be developed. Once the tag groups were created, the individual tags can be also created and added to the groups. Regular users will be able to use predetermined tags which were created in the system, but regular users will not have permissions to create their own tags.

Tags can also be colour coded to improve identification of them throughout the platform.

Pre-conditions

  • System Level Permission: 'Tag Manager', 'System Administration'.
  • tag group has been created.
  • Platform Configuration: The Tags feature is enabled

Steps

Create a Tag:

  1. Click on the grid icon on the right hand side of the dashboard.
  2. Select Admin panel.
  3. Click on the Tags tab.
  4. Hover the mouse on the selected tag group on the left side.
  5. Click on the plus icon next to the tag group's name.
  6. Type a tag name.
  7. (Optional): Select tag colour by clicking on the square field next to the tag name.
  8. Click Save.

Edit a Tag:

  1. Click on the grid icon on the right hand side of the dashboard.
  2. Select Admin panel.
  3. Click on the Tags tab.
  4. Click a tag group containing tag to be edited on the left side.
  5. Click on the arrow button next to the tag group's name to expand the group.
  6. (Optional): Edit a tag's name.
  7. (Optional): Change tag colour by clicking on the square field next to the tag name.
  8. Click Save.

Move a Tag:

  1. Click on the grid icon on the right hand side of the dashboard.
  2. Select Admin panel.
  3. Click on the Tags tab.
  4. Click a tag group containing tag to be moved on the left side.
  5. Hover the mouse over the tag's name.
  6. Click on the three dots icon.
  7. Select Move to.
  8. Select a new tag group from the list.

Delete a Tag:

  1. Click on the grid icon on the right hand side of the dashboard.
  2. Select Admin panel.
  3. Click on the Tags tab.
  4. Click a tag group containing tag to be deleted on the left side.
  5. Hover the mouse over the tag's name.
  6. Click on the three dots icon.
  7. Select Delete.
  8. Click Delete.
