Overview

Pre-conditions

  • System Level Permission: 'Manage Modifications', 'Create Documents', 'Document Manager', 'System Administration'.
  • Document Level Permission for Modification Document: 'Owner', 'Editor', 'Reviewer'.
  • Original document has been released after the modification was created.

Steps

Review Edits from the Original Document:

  1. Open the modification document.
  2. Hover the mouse over any paragraph.
  3. Click on the Locate paragraph icon on the left side of the paragraph.
  4. Click Show changes at the top of the original document content.

Locate Paragraph from the Modification Document:

  1. Open the modification document.
  2. Hover mouse over any original document paragraph.
  3. Click on the Locate paragraph icon on the left side of the paragraph.

Supplementary Information

When edits are made to the original document, they can be viewed and located in any of its modifications. The original and modification documents will display side by side for easy view of the differences made between the two documents. When comparing the documents, types of edits are categorized into Changes and Conflicts.

  1. Changes (marked as a green checkbox):
  • Added - addition of a new paragraph;
  • Deleted - deletion of the original paragraph;

       2. Conflicts (marked as an orange exclamation mark): editing of the original paragraph that was also edited in the modification, necessitating a review of the differences. 

When viewing edits, the matching paragraph in the modification can be located to compare the differences between it and its paragraph in the original document.
