Overview: Snippets
A snippet is a special type of document that can help users construct document's content. It is a block of text that can be inserted into a document or template.
Snippets have many of the same features as regular documents such as editing, audit trail, suggestions, comments and approvals. However, snippets do not have a configurable workflow.
The major difference is that once a snippet was released and shared, other users will be able to insert this snippet into their documents.
For the snippet to be inserted, the snippet has to be released and users have to have access to it.
Snippets can be created in advance and then inserted into documents. For example, legal contracts.
If a snippet is edited and released, the change will apply across all the documents and templates (in a draft stage) the snippet was inserted into.
