Release 2025 Q3 - Fixes (detailed)

The fixes from Release 2025.3 are detailed on this supplementary page.

Details for each fix are: pre-conditions, steps to reproduce, expected result, dependencies and downstream impacts, and support request (ticket) IDs (if applicable).

 

      • Policy Management
        • Fixed an issue where a group deleted in Admin Panel still remains in associated documents' permission lists
        • Fixed an issue where if text query is too long, document connection search matching stops
      • Fix Patch 165.19
        • Fixed an issue where reached automation interval fails to trigger and does not produce failure log
        • Fixed an issue where "Show workflow" allowed the bypassing of mandatory stages in new version creation
        • Fixed an issue where copy and pasting images from DOCX, image preview, or a webpage wasn't working
        • Fixed an issue where Policy Management metadata panel configuration was used for paper-based documents on Policy Portal
        • Fixed an issue where the User Roles report returned an error when attempting to export
        • Fixed an issue where stage age doesn't correspond to current stage

 

For this quarter release, there are relatively less bug fixes as there were numerous fixes provided through multiple patches of last quarter release, 2025.1/2, of which can be viewed here.

Fixes

Policy Management/Policy Portal

    • Fixed an issue where a group deleted in Admin Panel still remains in associated documents' permission lists
      • Pre-conditions:
        • Group has been added to a document on either Policy Management or Policy Portal.
        • Group has been deleted after.
      • Steps to reproduce:

        1. View permissions tab of said document.

      • Expected result:
        • Group is not shown anymore.

    • Fixed an issue where if text query is too long, document connection search matching stops.
      • Pre-conditions:
        • Document to be connected to has a title longer than 20 characters.
      • Steps to reproduce:

        1. Go inside of a document.

        2. Switch to the Data Connections tab.
        3. Search in the engine with the document's full title.

      • Expected result:
        • Result list shows matched result

Fix Patch 165.19

  • Fixed an issue where reached automation interval fails to trigger and does not produce failure log.
    • Pre-conditions:
      • Custom date metadata field exists.
      • Template exists.
    • Steps to reproduce:
      1. Configure automation for the new template using the Date metadata field (when Next Review Date is reached -> send email)

      2. Release the template.

      3. Create a new document from the template.
      4. In the document, set the date field to a time in the future.
      5. Release the document.
      6. Go to Admin Panel and delete the date metadata field.
      7. Create a new version of the document without modifying the date field.
      8. Wait until the originally set date and time of the date field is reached.

      • Scheduled execution should be triggered and recorded as failed with the failure log behind it.

  • Fixed an issue where "Show workflow" allowed the bypassing of mandatory stages in new version creation.
    • Pre-conditions:
      • N/A.
    • Steps to reproduce:
      1. Create template with 3 stages:

        1. Custom mandatory, no approver
        2. Custom optional
        3. Review stage - mandatory with approver
      2. Release template.
      3. Create document from template.
      4. Move document through all stages to release.
      5. Click to open dropdown near create new version, click on "Show workflow", pick optional stage, and confirm.
      6. Check next forms and actions.
    • Expected result:

      • Stages can be moved in backwards direction, but only within the same version, so no new version should be created.

  • Fixed an issue where copy and pasting images from DOCX, image preview, or a webpage wasn't working.
    • Pre-conditions:
      • Draft document exists.
      • Editing is allowed.
    • Steps to reproduce:
      1. From any of the following sources, copy (right-click copy or ctrl/cmd+C) an image from it:

        1. DOCX
        2. Image Preview
        3. Webpage
      2. Paste into document content through any of the following methods:
        1. Retain source formatting paste (ctrl/cmd + V or right-click and select Paste > Keep source formatting)
        2. Without source formatting paste (Right-click and select Paste > Paste without formatting)

      • Paper-based document is published on the Portal.
    • Steps to reproduce:
      1. Set for Default position of Metadata Panel setting option On the right sidebar in Platform configuration page/Policy Management, Save.
      2. Open paper-based document in Policy Portal, check metadata panel.
      3. Set for Default position of Metadata Panel setting option On top of the Document in Platform configuration page/Policy Management, Save.
      4. Open paper-based document in Policy Portal , check metadata panel.

    • Expected result:
      • Policy Management metadata panel location configuration does not affect Policy Portal

    • Steps to reproduce:
      1. Create template with 2 custom stages:

        1. Custom 1.
        2. Custom 2.
      2. Release the template.
      3. Create document from this template.
      4. Move document to stage Custom 2.
      5. Move document to stage Custom 1.
      6. Wait until tomorrow.
      7. Move document to stage Custom 2.
      8. Check "Stage Age" field of this document in table view on document dashboard in Policy Management.
    • Expected result:
      • Stage age should correspond to current stage, in this case 0.
