Overview

Learn how to add, edit and delete categories and sub-categories.

Categories are an organizating tool, as they can contain documents, templates, modifications, and snippets as well as sub-categories, to essentially create a hierarchy of content that fit your organization's taxonomy map.

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Select Admin panel from the menu bar in the top right corner.
  3. Select the Categories tab from the top bar navigation menu.
  4. Click on the + New category button.
  5. Enter a category name.
  6. (Optional): Tick the Available on Policy Portal* box if the category should be visible on the Policy Portal.
  7. Select Create.

Add a New Sub-category:

  2. Select Admin panel from the menu bar in the top right corner.
  3. Select the Categories tab from the top bar navigation menu.
  4. Find the category or sub-category to be deleted.
  5. Point to the three-dot icon.
  6. Select Delete*.
  7. Click on Delete.

Notes

  • If a category is selected to be visible on the Policy Portal, all sub-categories will be visible as well. It is not possible to hide one sub-category but leave other sub-categories visible as visibility is determined on the category level.
  • If there are no documents present in a category/sub-category, either directly within it or indirectly through any of its sub-categories (this check repeats for all related sub-categories in all levels), then the category/sub-category is hidden on both the Policy Management document dashboard as well as the Policy Portal document dashboard.
