Overview
You can configure your document's default* text/font styles (Normal, Headings 1-5) in their multiple font settings:
- Font;
- Font size;
- Bold;
- Italic;
- Underlined;
- Text's colour.
Pre-conditions
- Document Level Permission: 'Owner', 'Editor'.
- The current stage allows editing.
- If the document is created from a template, that template is currently not enforcing its heading text styles (How to Enforce Heading Text Styles).
Steps
Custom Method:
- Click Format in the menu bar.
- Select Text styles.
- Click the paragraph style to configure font for.
- Configure font.
- Click Save.
Template Inheritance Method:
- Click Format in the menu bar.
- Select Text styles.
- Toggle the Inherit text styles to documents created from this template* button.
- Click Save.
Bulk Paragraph Reformatting
After configuring the heading styles of a document, when it comes to applying text style (heading) changes to any number of paragraphs in your document, this can be done by dragging your cursor over said paragraphs to select them all, and then applying the desired formatting change.

Notes
- Once Inherit text styles to documents created from this template is selected, all documents created/attached from/to the template will inherit heading settings which cannot be adjusted on a document level.
- The numbering of a paragraph will be fixed to the corresponding document text style, so even if a document user selects a specific paragraph and changes its text style through the Formatting Toolbar (so not through the Text Styles window), the paragraph text style will change but not the numbering style.
