Create Paragraphs or Child Paragraphs

Overview

Child paragraphs are nested within paragraphs, making them child/sub-paragraphs by definition.

By nested, a paragraph is indented in relation to the paragraph above it.

Pre-conditions

  • Document Level Permission: 'Owner', 'Editor'.

Steps

Paragraph:

  1. Click on the Paragraph icon or use a shortcut (CTRL+ Enter) to create new paragraphs.

Child Paragraph:

  1. Click on the Sub-Paragraph icon or use a shortcut (Shift + CTRL+ Enter) to create a new child paragraph.

Next Level Paragraph:

  1. To create a new parent paragraph after creating nested paragraphs (e.g. the last created paragraph was 1.1 Purpose and a new paragraph 2. needs to be created), find the last paragraph on the same level (e.g. 1. Introduction) and click on the Paragraph icon right below.
