Overview

Find more information on how to release a document in Clausematch.

Pre-conditions

Steps

  1. Click Finalize Version in the top right corner.
  2. (Optional): Change document name and/or version if needed.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Fill out any required custom metadata fields and if needed any optional fields as well.
  5. Click Continue*.
  6. (Optional): Leave a note that appears next to the Release activity in the Document Activity timeline for other users to make note of when understanding the stage move.
  7. Click Confirm and Finalize.

Notes

  • Once the document is released, the document name and version number cannot be updated.
  • The document version number can be only updated to a higher number e.g. from 1.2 to 1.3, but not to 1.1.

  • If the document is released for the very first time, it is possible to set the custom released date. If a user leaves the Released date field empty, the released date will be the actual day of when the document was released in Clausematch.

  • Unlike document name and version number, any particular custom metadata field will still be editable after releasing the document if their screen allows them to be edited.
