  2. (Optional): Change document name and/or version if needed.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Fill out any required custom metadata fields and if needed any optional fields as well.
  5. Click Continue*.
  6. (Optional): (De)select categories to assign document from/to.
  7. Select Complete.
  8. (Optional): Leave a note that appears next to the Release activity in the Document Activity timeline.
  9. Click Confirm.

Notes

  • Once the document is released, the document name and version number cannot be updated.
  • The document version number can be only updated to a higher number e.g. from 1.2 to 1.3, but not to 1.1.

  • If the document is released for the very first time, it is possible to set the custom released date. If a user leaves the Released date field empty, the released date will be the actual day of when the document was released in Clausematch.

  • Unlike document name and version number, any particular custom metadata field will still be editable after releasing the document if their screen allows them to be edited.
